What Does it Take to Grab Your Attention?

It's sad to see how insanely popular are porn sites, gambling sites, sites that show photos & soundbites of the rich, famous, dysfunctional & "beautiful people" compared to ... say THIS site. The last two blogs on this site have not had a single hit in the past couple of days.
This brings to mind the hundreds of billions of burgers MacDonalds have sold to the detriment of our nutrition & planet.
What does it take to inspire us to choose quality over fool's gold?

Surfing the Breath ...

"As each moment, and each breath, streams to us and through us, it is clearly seen, deeply felt, fully registered, and released to reveal the next fleeting flickering bundle of impression that stream our way. We come to live like surfers balancing ourselves on seemingly endless waves of modulating life experiences, like jazz musicians marveling at each nuanced riff of responsive engagement in the streaming jam of life, or like Hildegard of Bingen once said, floating 'like a feather on the breath of God.'

Our Physical Journey towards Wholeness

I keep being amazed at how we, as individuals & as a species, seem to have to physically experience & process & integrate the myriad mysteries of life - "the full catastrophe", from wondrous to horrific, and with mountains of sand to shovel in between. It seems akin to each of us being presented with a plate of food to eat, digest & incorporate into every cell in our bodies & thus become transformed.
May we do this work of a lifetime as mind-heartfully as possible.

Appropriate Behavior & Health Depend on Continuous Clear Awareness

"If a living system is suffering from ill health, the remedy is to connect it with more of itself."               Francisco Valera

I encountered this powerful quote at a very recent excellent workshop facilitated by Joel and Michelle Levey.  http://healthyhealers.blogspot.ca/2014/06/easing-towards-greater-balance-health.html
